Hobgoblin Mail Order – How it Works
If you can’t get to one of our shops, our famous Mail Order service is the answer. We can send goods almost anywhere in the world, and we welcome export orders. When we receive your order we will deal with it promptly, the majority of catalogue lines are in stock at any one time, but if there is any delay we will give you an estimated delivery date. Small packets are sent by Royal Mail to all destinations. Larger parcels by Parcel Courier. Most orders are dispatched within one working day.
All our goods are fully guaranteed, new goods for 1 year, secondhand for 6 months, and you can return mail order goods, during the first two weeks of receipt if you are not satisfied with them (except custom made instruments and special orders). Notify us first, and ensure that the goods reach us in good condition. If you are buying a one off item, you can phone and reserve it for a week while your payment is in the post. If you need time to organise full payment, send 25% deposit, we’ll hold goods for up to a month.
Buying Online
It’s simple and fast to place orders online using our secure website. Just go to the item you want and click on “add to basket”. You can keep coming back to the catalogue adding or deleting as many items as you like before deciding to buy. You are not committed to the purchase until you get to the checkout page and click the ‘place order’ button, so it is safe to experiment.
You don’t have to register, you can just enter your details and buy now. We suggest registering if you plan to return as it will be easier for you on your next visit.
Payment for online orders is by credit or debit card or by Paypal. We still take orders by Phone, Fax, Post & Email too. We don’t add any charges for using your cards with us.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, Amex, Maestro (Switch) and Paypal, Cheques, Foreign Bank Transfers, Bank Drafts and Travellers Cheques.
Credit and Debit Card orders can be placed online or by phone

Foreign Bank Transfers can be arranged by email or phone
Interest Free Credit (0% APR) can be arranged by phone under the Take It Away scheme for 18 to 25 year olds.

You can send your credit card order by Fax. Just fax a copy of the order form. Use the postage rate chart below to find the amount for the largest item on your order, smaller items can be included at no further postage cost.

Product Availability
We strive to provide accurate information on product availability and delivery times. However inaccuracies are possible. If there is any problem relating to availability of your order, we aim to contact you within one working day.
Shipping Costs
While we can quote accurate shipping prices for most orders, items going by parcel courier to countries outside the UK sometimes need to be quoted for individually. You can go ahead and place the order. If the shipping cost is going to be different to the amount quoted on the website, we will contact you before we send the item to discuss this with you. You will be able to cancel the order and receive a full refund to your original payment method if you decide not to proceed.
