The whole thing is breathtaking in its simplicity and the seemingly intuitive interplay between the pair at times seems uncanny, in particular on the Celtic/Jazz amalgam that is the tune set ‘Paddy Taylor’, where Phelan is equally as adventurous as his flautist partner. ...The Madrid Sessions will do very nicely.
